Revised PDP

PDP Objective 1 - Gaining confidence with fashion photography

I spent quite a lot of time in the studio over the past few weeks. Although for an unrelated project, I was able to successfully take some photographs of myself for my final major project. Doing this enabled me to gain confidence in the studio, even though I was the only person in there, as I felt I was under less pressure and I could do things in my own time. I was also able to experiment with lighting and the projector, the latter of which I had not used before.
I also took a model into the studio to have a go at making myself feel a bit better about people being in the studio with me.
I feel that I met my target by the original date I had set but I do think that I still need to carry on practicing in the studio to maintain my confidence.

PDP Objective 2 - Gain a better knowledge of Photoshop

Over the past couple of weeks I have been taking a lot of photographs that I can edit. I wanted to take a lot of photographs so that I would have something fresh to work with and I think that that way, I would have stayed interested in what I was doing.
This objective overlapped with the objective below as I found myself editing my experiment photography on Photoshop and learning some new skills along the way.
I am now editing photos to a higher standard than I was previously so I feel that my objective has been met but there is definite room for improvement within my work.

PDP Objective 3 - Creating experimental images

I have been really trying to push my boundaries by thinking of new ideas of things to photograph. I have really enjoyed completing this objective as it is something that is a personal interest.
I am extremely happy with the work I have produced for this, so much so that I am exhibiting it in a gallery.
This is an ongoing objective and I will be continuing to work on this over the Christmas holidays as I will be getting new equipment which is going to help me to achieve this goal.

More Photoshop Work

I went to a gig last night where I had been asked to take photos of my friends band and I also got to take photos of the headlining act too, which was brilliant.
The lighting in the venue was possibly the worst I had ever worked with and made it very difficult for me to take photographs without them being blurry. I did get a few good photographs though, which I was pleased about. I decided to edit them in Photoshop where I changed the colour of the background lights slightly, made them less noisy and edited out blemishes amongst other things.

Yet More Studio!

Today I took a model into the studio so I could feel a bit more confident directing someone as opposed to taking self portraits and directing myself.
